CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT) was established in 2000. It is located in Bangalore and is approved by the AICTE. It is recognised by the UGC and the Government of Karnataka. CMRIT is accredited by the NBA and NAAC with an "A+" grade. The university is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University. CMRIT is a part of the CMR Group of Institutions. The CMRIT courses are offered at UG, PG, and doctoral levels in disciplines like engineering and technology, management, and computer applications. CMRIT admissions start from January to October every year and are based on the merit of the entrance exams. It has been ranked 116th among all engineering colleges in India by the Times Engineering Institutes Survey 2021.
